The National Center for Peace & Development (NCPD) is a non-governmental organization established in 2021 by a group of dedicated young South Sudanese. Registered under number 4602, we were founded by individuals who were themselves affected by civil unrest and decided to become part of the solution.
"As former victims of civil unrest in South Sudan, we together with other like-minded change makers decided to become part of the solution by empowering communities to create peaceful and thriving societies."
- NCPD Founding Team
NCPD primarily focuses on regions severely impacted by decades of civil conflict, where populations continue to face challenges related to resilience, humanitarian aid, and development. We aim to bridge the gap between these communities, ensuring sustainable peace-building efforts and support for those most in need.
Guiding our work towards a peaceful South Sudan
To cultivate a harmonious society where every citizen enjoys peace, hygiene, sanitation, justice, democracy and is economically empowered towards realizing sustainable development.
To design and implement sustainable and innovative interventions through individuals, communities, organizations and government in building a peaceful, WASH, just, democratic and economically empowered South Sudan.
As a non-sectarian, non-partisan, non-profit organization, we promote innovative, rights and value-based approaches to peace building, guided by becoming a Center of Excellence for cultivating a culture of peace and justice.
The principles that define our work and character
We celebrate diversity and promote equality in all our programs, ensuring inclusive participation regardless of ethnicity, gender, religion, or social status.
We actively include marginalized groups in decision-making processes and program design, ensuring everyone has a voice in building their communities.
We maintain the highest ethical standards in all our operations, building trust with communities, partners, and stakeholders through transparency and accountability.
