Empowering communities through innovative peace-building, WASH programs, education, and livelihood support across all states of South Sudan.
"As former victims of civil unrest in South Sudan, we together with other like-minded change makers decided to become part of the solution by empowering communities to create peaceful and thriving societies."
The National Centre for Peace & Development (NCPD) was founded in 2021 by dedicated young South Sudanese with a strong vision to foster peace and unity. We address critical needs of vulnerable communities throughout South Sudan, focusing on regions severely impacted by decades of civil conflict.
Against the backdrop of protracted conflict and civil war, South Sudan has experienced stop-start processes without meaningful progress. We believe innovative resilient building approaches are needed more than ever at national and local levels to address root causes of violence and realize long-term peace outcomes.
